The Difference A Printer Makes

I printed some images on Tuesday evening using our Epson Stylus DX4400 Printer, but although the images were clear and bright, some of them came out with a couple of lines going through them. Even after head cleans and changing the black ink, it still happened. I reckon I've just about got away with it on this image though:

So, Wednesday afternoon, I printed them again using our Epson Stylus Photo 830 and although they came out without the lines, the colour is so different. Almost chalky looking.

Settings and paper were the same, it's just the printer that's changed and it's shown me that investing in a good printer is a must and I'm going to be saving up to get one to replace the 830. Until I got the DX4400, I always thought that the images and photos I printed were great, but now I know different. It's the first time I've actually had things side-by-side and able to compare.

Just thought I'd share this with you all.

Love and hugs,
Sarah C xoxoxo

Cor, yes you can definitely see the difference, the first image is much better isn't it. If I were you I would clean the heads a few more times, I had to do it to mine the other day and it took four cleans but it was alright after that.xx
I like how you've put the gems around the flower frame, great touch!
