You'd Better Shape Up

It was Lou's turn to set the challenge on Dottie's World on Sunday and she said,

"You might have spotted that I'm a bit addicted to making shaped cards so I've decided to go with what I love and challenge you all to make a shaped card using one of the Charmed digi stamps. When I say shaped I mean it can be any shape except the usual square or rectangle."

So, I went to Mirkwood templates and downloaded one for a hexagon petal card. After cutting it out using double-sided card stock, I punched a hole in each petal with my crop-a-dile and threaded ribbon through to enable me to tie it together.

I used a pre-coloured hippie Dottie from the Rock & Roll collection and stuck it inside with foam pads and added a sentiment that was a magazine freebie ages ago.

My message is written on gold glitter paper stuck on the back.

Everyone who enters will be put in a draw for some fab goodies :D

Another Pretty Face

I've been admiring a stamp for ........... oooooooooooh ......... ages and finally succumbed and purchased it last week. I made my first card tonight using it. I also used papers from the paper pack I got from the mail order craft club I'm in. The papers are My Minds Eye Bohemian.

I cut a sheet of card to make an A5 card and then cut the front to be a little narrower than the back. I covered the whole card in the brown paper before adding a piece of the green paper which I cut using my scallop blade. I inked the edges of the card in pinecone and the inside in pinecone and green tea. The face is stamped and edged in pinecone and attached with foam pads. I've added some brown ribbon to the side as a final touch.
