SATC August Blog Challenges

Hi everyone, quick post today to reveal what I've done for the August Scrap Around The Block LO Challenge. Don't forget to check out the criteria for the LO and ATC challenges and have a go yourself to be in with a chance of winning a great prize.

Everything I've used here was in my Christmas Day parcel in the UKScrappers Advent Swap last year except the ink.

Scrappers Block Goes Metallic

The relatively new Scrappers Block blog challenged us to use something metallic on a LO (challenge #2). I've used some wire mesh (used by car repairers) and double inked/heat embossed it before cutting it into an arrow.

Three Challenges And A Birthday

Well, I've not done as much crafting as I hoped I would and so far this week have managed the grand total of TWO Christmas cards! HELP!!!!!! I have done some crafting though and here it is in all it's glory - although photos identities have been protected.

UKScrappers weekly challenge - use sketch, theme of new beginnings, stamping and white ribbon or flowers ~ all components met, so full points for my team The Ruby Snippers

Member's Sketch Challenge on 3C's set by Tee - (ATC done previously) Christmas card for someone special and including ribbon ~ LO using torn/ripped paper and hand-journalling. Once again all components met so full points for me.

Card

LO

Dottie's World Sunday Challenge set by Adele - textural - ribbon and lace ~ must use some of at least one on your creation. I've used silver sparkly ric-rac ribbon. Picture is a download by Lou and available from Charmed and it's finished with a stamped greeting, some Stickles on the sowman, snow and Dottie's dotty boots and a K&Co snowflake

Birthday Card - stamped image with jewels and flowers highlighted with Diamond Stickles. I've used pink/white lace down the side over some floral paper and stamped the greeting.

Ted

First time using these downloads and they're so cool to work with. Created by Debbie, they're available to download here.

I've used Xmas Ted with snowman sleigh to make this card. I was printing some things out onto photo paper and added this one. I forgot I would be colouring it in, but it still worked by watercolouring with my brush markers. I added icicle stickles to the snowflakes, the ground covering of snow and the snowman. Final touch was the blooms.
