UKS July House Challenge

The House Challenge for July on UKS was:

What lightens up your life / Bling (the shinier the better)

I saw a LO by a
UKS member (whoopidoo) and decided to 'lift' the idea. My LO was not done with the challenge in mind, but once completed I realised that it fitted the bill perfectly.

memories of NAN:

I've used green Bazzill as the background and cut the PP (from Charmed) so that the flowers overlapped the photo. I used diamond stickles on each flower and between the journalling to add some bling (diamonds sparkle and shine don't they?). The title is cut on my tag-a-long using my Tootsie alphabet and I've used green pen to add detail to the letters.

The journalling down the side is done using a pink pen and reads:
* I remember the numerous hours you spent making soft toys. I wish I still had mine.
* I still have Melanie, the doll you gave me when I was 1 1/2. She goes everywhere with me.
* I remember 'our Fridays'. Chip shop lunch, then I'd take your list to Tescos.
* I remember the bingos you organised at Coveney Village Hall to raise money for the day centre you went to. That's why the Mayoress gave you these flowers. You can tell it was Christmas as you still have your hat on!!!
* Most of all I remember you with fondness and love
A simple LO maybe, but I think the PP provides enough detail.

Time to Craft, Save and Shop

I was given this gorgeous clock as a thank you for helping my cousin's son in his shop while he was at an appointment. I hve put it above my craft desk. Originally the wording underneath it was stuck on my wall (using white tac) as individual letters, but when I took them off, some of the paint came with them! So, instead of being able to have the words go round the clock as planned, I made a sign to cover the mess.
The letters and butterflies are die-cut on my Xyron Personal Cutting System. The red card is from The Paper Mill and the cream and black card is from stash. To outline the items, I used a black brush marker.

I am busy saving my pennies (and pounds if I have them) to go to Ally Pally in September. I realised that I needed something to keep it all in, so I made this.

I used a cheese football tub I had from Christmas and decorated it using:
K & Co's Hannah Scrap Pad To Go
Prima Flowers (both from CCC)
Diamond Stickles
Fibres from stash

Now all I've got to do is keep saving, so I can shop till I drop!
