Scrapsketch #116

Here's my LO using Scrapsketch's sketch #116. I used a photo I'd taken for the Whodunnit Cyber Crop on UKS this last February. Journalling is merely details of when and what for.

One of my teamies (Chelle) on UKScrappers, challenged my team to scrap using one of the Elvis song titles she provided us with, as the title for a LO. I chose "It's Midnight".

Sketch Saturday

One of my friends has moved home and I've made a card to send to her. She's an Elvis fan and this image from the Dottie & George Rock & Roll collection is perfect. I coloured it in using my watercolour paints as usual and used the latest sketch from SKETCH SATURDAY.

I then found out today that my Great-Aunt is 80 tomorrow, so I had an unexpcted card to make. She doesn't seem 80, so I decided to go for a youthful looking card using a Holly download also from Charmed and coloured it using my watercolour paints. I used the same sketch as I did for the Elvis card above.

Colour Me Silly

That's the theme for this week's challenge on Dottie's World set by Juliet. Here's my card and don't forget that Dottie, George and their friends are available for download at Charmed.

I've used Elvis George and water-coloured him and his background using my brush markers.

Scrapped and Carded

I've actually managed to find my craft table and have a LO and card to show you.

UKS Challenge last week was:
Use something American: 5 points
Stars or stripes: 5 points
Use glitter: 5 points
Use quotation marks: 5 points
Use the sketch: 10 points

Here's my take on the challenge:

My Dad was a huge Elvis fan and hated impersonators. He'd always say something like "nobody does it ike Elvis does it".

So, for the points:

American ~ Elvis, what more do you need? LOL
Stars and stripes both used
Stickles Glitter on Elvis' buttons
Quotation Marks on the phrase
Sketch used as it is for a change and not turned round and flipped over

Pleased to claim full marks for my team The Ruby Snippers

Base card is Bazzill and the patterned and green card is Three Bugs in a Rug ~ Seeing Stars from Charmed. The Elvis picture is a bonus coloured image from the downloadable Rock & Roll Dottie and George collection by the talented Lou and also available from Charmed.

For my card, I have had most of it made for a little while, I just needed to add the image as the first attempt went wrong. My cousin's DH turned 60, so I made this for him using the bonus coloured image from the downloadable Rock & Roll Dottie and George collection by Lou and once again available from Charmed.
