Dottie's Been Tagged

Over on Dottie's World last Sunday (24th August), Adele set the Sunday challenge. Although I'm posting very early Sunday morning (3:30amish to be precise), I'm still officially on Saturday as I haven't been to bed yet. So, technically speaking, I'm still in time for this challenge :D LOL

Adele said:

This week I want to see a tag or tags of any shape or size. It could be tag shape toppers, gift tags, tag books....and because hubby and me have just celebrated our wedding anniversary....for an extra Dottie bonus I would love to see some hearts and flowers too!!!

My card is a 25th wedding anniversary acceptance card as I needed to get one to the couple by Wednesday 3rd September! Something else I've left until the last minute! I've used one of the fab pre-coloured images from the love and marriage collection and printed it onto Safmat. For the hearts, I used Papermania paper and the flowers (red and pink) are from Calico Crafts. I cut the card in the shape of a tag and added ribbon to the top of the front. I've also stamped a 'thank you' tag and added narrow ribbon to that too.

Challenge completed and as long as I get it in the post now, I can go to the ball.

Crash and More

My computer crashed on Friday night! Panick stricken I called PC World to ask for help and heard an automative voice tell me to ring a £1.50 a minute number and was told the call could last for 20 minutes!!!!!!!!! £30? No way, so I hung on and spoke to a very nice gentleman who helped me within 5 minutes on the normal rate number. Even then, I was told that I would have to do a system re-boot, loose everything and re-install all the programmes again. I was so grateful that I'd spent hours a month ago putting all my craft things and photos onto CD-Roms. The only thing I think I lost was some photos of Ely Cathedral, but I can always go and take more. Any excuse to act like a tourist around my home town.

After giving my work placement a great review, I think I've just done my last day there :( My supervisor decided that they wouldn't need me on Wednesday as they've got a work experience lad in and I'm off Thursday for my sister's graduation. If they get on ok Thursday without me, then I won't be back. Most of the staff that I've come to know had already left for the day, so I've not been able to say goodbye to them which is a huge shame. I'm hoping that the agency will be able to find me something else by Monday if I'm not going back. I was getting used to having the money each week and Ally Pally's less than 13 weeks away!!

Did you see the canvas I decorated for a family friend? I got home tonight to find Tim had sent me a really lovely thank you note. As he's a very talented artist (I have one of his paintings hanging in my dining room), I was so nervous giving it to him and never got to see his reaction when he opened it as it was still wrapped when we left. I'm so pleased he liked it though.

Well, that's me for now. Crafting's been on the slow to stop side these last couple of weeks. Hoping to have something to show you soon. Take care all of you.
Love to all xxxx

One More For The Challenge

I decided to make another card using Karen's sketch on 3C's. I made a Thank You card for a change. All the papers are from the K & Co Hopscotch paper pad with a Papermania rub-on and bronze brads.

Thank You

Thank you so much Debz for my award. It means so much to me. I'm so pleased that my ramblings can bring joy to people. When I first started this blog, I didn't think I'd have much to say or much crafting to show you. For anyone else thinking the same about themselves, have a go. You may surprise yourself with the goings on in your life and with your crafting or other hobby. People love to hear about other people. Take a look at the shelves in the newsagents at all the magazines devoted to reader's and celebrity's stories if you don't believe me!

So, thanks again for my award Debz. I'm pleased and proud to put it on my blog and to pass it on to those I've named next to it. I love to visit these blogs and they haven't already got one of these and should. You all give me so much inspiration for my own crafting :-)

Tee - Love to visit your blog to see what you've done. You're very clever and artistic and inspire me in all walks of life. Love our chats too.
Joani - Love all the different styles in your crafting. I never know what I'm going to see next!
Mellie - Your blog's fab. You really should blog more often though as you have so much talent to show us all.
Lisa - Love everything about your blog. You are so talented.
Juliet - What can I say, but WOW. You are one very talented lady and should get your work published. You are amazing and not just in your crafting, but in life too. (I just went to let you know and you've been tagged by Lou, but not put the award on your blog, so I tag you anyway cos I think you're amazing too!)
Lea - You sure have made a great start to your blog. I love the autumn picture and wish I was there right now.
