MUM's silly faces

My mum will never be old to me while she's able to make us smile and laugh with her silly faces and antics. While we were on holiday in 2007, I was snapping away with my camera while she was leaning on a wall taking in the scenery. I turned the camera onto her and when she realised, she decided to pull one of those faces and it just had to be scrapped sometime. This is that time!

I've used acrylic paint to cover some chipboard letters and frame, aded some PP, blooms, ribbon and a photo turn that has 'silly' on it. The sentiment on the top of the frame says "Take time every day to do something silly". That's not hard for Mum :)

Mums & Girlfriends

It's challenge time again on Crafty Muse and this is what Sammi said:

"This time we would like to make something for a mother... yours or someone elses... (It's Mother's Day in the UK on 22 March)

OR

you could make a card for a friend (but it must be for a female) :) "

Here's my card. The wording is from elegant wordart.

Hello

Hi everyone, I am still about. Quick catch up on me, then I'll bore you all with my crafting.

I had 2 weeks work at Ely Cathedral and had such long days I was shattered. Then, after a week-end away when I went to the Scrapbook Show at Ally Pally, I came down with a viral infection, so I've been off work for nearly 2 weeks. I'm still not fully recovered, but I'm getting there. Due to that and the fact that I temp, my job had to be given to someone else. I'm now waiting to hear if I have a job at one of the colleges in Cambridge starting Monday and going until Christmas. It'll mean very long days, so don't expect much on here if that happens :(

Well, that's me. Now my craft. To start with, here's the stash I bought at AP

My niece ~ QUEEN OF THE CASTLE

My eldest nephew's birthday card

My youngest nephew

My new patio furniture

My youngest sister and her O/H one month after getting together

25th Wedding Anniversary Card

July Week 3

The UKS challenge this week has been set by the Yummy Mummys.

They set 3 criteria for it:

Scraplift a CD cover 10pts
Holiday theme 10pts
Use material embellies 10pts

I googled and found some different covers by artists I hadn't even heard of!! So, I decided to go for this one titled ~ The Sky is Crying:

Here's my take on the challenge and is another one for my Somerset holiday album.

I've used White linen look card stock for the background.

CD cover ~ yes, but changed the title to The Sun is Shining!

Holiday theme ~ yes

Material ~ yes, the strips at the top and bottom are white felt that I've painted with black and copper acrylic paint.

Full points again this week for the Ruby Snippers.
