Crafty Muse Doodles With A Sketch

I've loved working with Sammi and the rest of the team at Crafty Muse these last few months. Sadly the challenge for this fortnight is the last one for us.

Please check it out, see the fab cards the DT have made and join in with us to win a fab prize.

Here's my card to try and help give you some inspiration. I've used an image and sentiment from the Marriage download package by Sammi

Mmmm .......... Strawberries and Chocolate

Anyone fancy strawberries and chocolate? If you do, nip over to Crafty Muse as that's what Sammi's given everyone for the next fortnight. Inspired by the scrumptious colours, here's my card. The image is from Sammi's sisters and friends download collection and I've coloured it using my brush markers and a blender pen.

Crafty Muse Sketch and Recipe ~ 2nd entry

I've made a card using the current sketch and recipe challenge on Crafty Muse. You still have time to enter and you can use any image you want - not just Sammi's amazing downloads. I've used one of the new sisters and friends images and coloured it using my brush markers. Brads are in all four corners and the ribbon I've made into a small flower on the bottom right

I've used the sketch on top of a box I've made. The image is one of the new 'sisters and friends' download collections available later today.

Crafty Muse's Sketch Challenge

We have a sketch challenge for you at Crafty Muse this fortnight. If you enter the challenge, your name will be in a draw for a new, yet-to-be-seen, download collection. Use one of the many Crafty Muse downloads for your entry and you will be entered twice. How fab is that?

Here's what I've done with it. Papers and sentiment were magazine freebies last summer. The image is Angelique sitting which I've printed onto photo paper and I've added some turqouise Stickles to her dress and wings. I've edged everything with my new Colorbox Fluid Chalk Inkpad

Freebie Wedding Car Challenge at Crafty Muse

Sammi is giving away a freebie image on Crafty Muse for you. All that's asked, is that you use it in a craft project this next fortnight. You have the chance to be a Guest Designer if you have the winning creation. Crafty Muse is also on the hunt for more Design Team menbers, so please remember to let us know if you are interested when you post a comment. If you are chosen to join the Design Team, you will be given FREE digi-stamps to work with. Sounds great doesn't it?

I made a digi-card for this week's challenge. I've removed the car from the background using PictureIt!, coloured it using Paint.NET and added a background and sentiment using PictureIt!

Digi-stamps are so versatile. You can:
* print them 'as is', add your own colours using pens/paints/pencils/chalks etc and use papers and embellies to complete your craft project
** colour them in using computer software, print and use papers/embellies
*** do your complete project using computer software (as I have done this week)

The other great thing with digi-stamps is that unlike rubber stamps they can be re-sized; before printing, to fit the project you're working with. The car here fits an A5 card, but the image I water-coloured the other month is almost A4 in size.

May Day!

As you most likely know, it was May Day this last Monday. We at Crafty Muse have decided to use this as our challenge for this fortnight. Here's what Sammi said

"Well... It's the beginning of May.... we've just had May Day and so what better theme for this challenge... We would like you to make a project inspired by the idea of

May Day :: love, flowers, romance!

It's Mother's Day in Australia this Sunday... if you are downunder why not make a Mother's day card for this challenge??"

Here's my card, inspired by the ribbons on a traditional May Pole. I've used an Angelique Sitting stamp exclusively available from Sammi at Crafty Muse.

Sammi also added

"THERE will be a prize this challenge.... the winner can choose one download package + just quietly at the end of this challenge there will be 2 new download sets available.... exciting!!"

Crafty Muse Goes Spotty

It's hard to believe that it's been a fortnight since the last Crafty Muse challenge, but it sure has been. Once again, I'm not at home for it, so this is a scheduled post again and any comments will be approved once I return home. I'm visiting a cousin of mine who I haven't seen for 15 years. We lost contact and I was traced by her son at the end of last year. Should be a good week-end as I'm staying with her and her family until Sunday.

So, back to the reason for this post. On Crafty Muse, we challenge you to use lots of spots on your crafting. You have 2 weeks to get creative. Here's my card using an image from the boy/male image download collection, together with some backing paper from Poundland and some spotted ribbon. I printed the image onto watercolour paper and used watercolour paints. The sentiment was designed in Word and printed onto card before inking over it with Sage Versacolor ink.

Good Luck With Crafty Muse

As I've said in my last post, I've scheduled this one to pop up on Friday while I'm at my mum's. Fingers crossed it's worked.

So, the reason for the post? It's challenge time again on Crafty Muse and this time we'd like you to make something for Good Luck.

Here's my New Home card using one of the downoads from the Once Upon A Time/Fairytale bundle.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to take part.
Good luck

It's Easter at Crafty Muse

Well everyone, the latest challenge is up at Crafty Muse and this time, we'd like you to make an  Easter project. There's even a couple of freebie images and a PDF file of Easter sentiments for you.

Here's my Easter card, coloured with Prismacolours.  I've used an egg that Sammi gave us and one of the sentiments from the PDF file. To complete the card, I added a charm that says 'Live in the Light', some ribbon and stickles.
